Leadership & Structure
Who leads, who serves, and who to speak to.
The parish is led by the Parish Priest, appointed by the Bishop, who presides at the Eucharist and carries final pastoral responsibility.
He is assisted by the Parish Pastoral Council — lay men and women elected by the Jumuiya and the groups — which plans the pastoral year and carries the concerns of the parish to him. Standing committees handle particular areas of work: liturgy, development, finance and so on.
Beneath and around all of it are the Jumuiya, the Small Christian Communities, where most of the ordinary life of the parish is actually lived.
